Ahh, it's that time of year where the sun is still just about shining but the shops are telling us that we need to wrap ourselves up already in the beloved thick winter coat. I already have more than enough coats in my wardrobe, but it still feels like I am missing out on some of most timeless, must-have styles. I have my gorgeous oversized boyfriend fit tweed coat from Mango, which I still adore 2 years on, but I feel like as well as that I need a fur trim collar coat, and a duster coat, a trench coat and all the other classic styles I see gracing the shoulders of top bloggers every year. Maybe one purchase a year will be best for my bank balance; and if they are timeless choices, I'll be able to wear them year after year. So, of course, Topshop is ruling the ranks with the coat department once again, and out of all the choices I came across online, four of them ended up being from the high street giant. Plus, one of them is a Sister Jane coat found through the Topshop website, so basically five out of the six. My two favourites have got to be the sleeveless grey number and the playfully printed Sister Jane trench. They're both twists on a classic, making them stand out, yet at the same time I feel like I could purchase these now and for the next couple of winters not feel like I was wearing something off trend... Do you get me?

Which of my monochrome picks would you choose? Have you bought your coat for winter yet?

Happy London Fashion Week everyone! Oh how I wish I was there! But on an equally as exciting note, I moved down to London this week YIPPEEE! FINALLY. I have wanted to move here for so so long and it's finally happened. So I might not be living in central Chelsea or such places, but I am still super happy! Once we don't have boxes everywhere and some furniture (turns out, the floor isn't a comfy place to sit for more than about ten minutes!), I'll try and put together a little interior post as I loved reading and looking at photos from Megan's Flat Tour on Pages By Megan! If I ever have enough money, my house will one day look something like hers! Also, until we get a lawnmower (seriously don't think the last tenants ever went outside, it's like a jungle out there), photos will be in this little spot at the back of the house. It may not be the prettiest back drop, but the light is just right!

So, on to THAT scarf. How perfect is it?!... I love that it's monochrome (of course), but also the mismatch of patterns combined in to one huge piece of knit. It's literally like a blanket it's so big. I can't wait to be snuggled up with the beauty and a massive coat in a few months. It's never going to leave my neck, EVER. After taking these photos I also noticed that Suzie from Hello October had her own equally beautiful version of THAT scarf, so it must be hip if she has one similar, right? If you click through to the link on her blog you will also discover thee best eyebrows ever. I have kept the rest of the outfit minimal because nothing else is really needed when you have such a perfect accessory. I do have to point out my (relatively) new brogues though. Yes, very similar to my old patent ones, which I wore so much that the sole literally fell off one day, but these have chunky cleated soles so obviously I just had to buy them.

Let me know what you think of THAT scarf! Do you love it as much as me?

Is it really bad that I'm super happy it's time for A/W dressing? I am loving all the dog tooth printed trousers and boots and oversized coats, and of course that it is a lot more acceptable to wear all black! I'm quite surprised I've chosen a crop top and strappy leather dress, as these aren't pieces I usually go for, but how awesome would these look with a fluffy boyfriend cardigan to give them that laid back vibe?! Whilst packing for London I came across my beauty of a jacket from H&M in all it's fluffy glory, and even though my current flat is a bit of a sauna, I couldn't help but just feel the need throw it on for the rest of the day (and maybe melt a little in the process). And I just quickly need to point out the boots. Do I really need to explain my love for them? Black ankle boots are just a staple piece, but I love the shaped detailing to them both, giving them that little something extra for me to awe at.

What's your favourite piece from my River Island wishlist? And what is it that you're most looking forward to about A/W dressing?
