Don't you just love it when you go to buy something at full price, decide you can't stretch to spending over £40 on it, then go home and find it for a quarter of the price on eBay! Well that's what happened with these jeans! I have wanted Mom jeans since Topshop made them "cool" and have tried on so, so many pairs in store but each time I just couldn't bring myself to parting with the money. For £40 I could eat well for 2 weeks, and food always comes top priority! So, when I finally got my heart set on an acid wash version but still walked away from buying them, I knew I had to have them in my life one way of another. I mean, I could have asked the boyfriend nicely but then we wouldn't have had date night that week so of course I didn't ask (like I said, food is top priority)! So to the internet I went. I know every one is raging about Depop lately, but I'm an eBay fan through and through. After about 5 minutes of searching I found the EXACT pair I had seen in store. And with a bid and anxious wait later they were MINE! YESSSS!! I love you eBay.

Not only were my jeans an eBay bargain but this top was too! I know H&M are pretty decently priced anyway, but searching for bargains for last years travelling I got this top at a steal price of 99p! Again, eBay, I love you. The top itself is the perfect crop length for the high waisted Mom jeans as I do not like showing midriff one bit!
In other news, I don't know if you've noticed in these photos but I have had the chop. Bye hair! Since growing my hair to nearly my waist during travelling last year, I have had an inch or so off each time I took a trip to the hairdressers and then on my last trip I took the plunge and had about more 3 inches off! It feels so nice and light, I wish it had been this length last year before I went away as it is so much more manageable. I never thought I would go for short hair for years to come but now I'm even tempted to have a teeny bit more off next time! For now though, I am super happy with how it is.

Have you found any bargains on eBay or Depop recently? What do you think of my new shorter hair cut?

I'm currently on the search for a new bag and seeing as my last two were from ASOS, I thought this would be the place to start. And oh boy did they have plenty to choose from. I've currently got about 20 on my "Saved Items" list that I need to narrow down to one... or two (...or three!). I love that they have their own brand line alongside the many other designer and budget-friendly brands - although their own label seem to be right on point the last few months so this is the majority label in my list!

Wishlist: White Plate Bag, Hexagonal Bag, Duffle Bag, Pony Hair Bag, Black Zip Backpack, White Shopper Bag

With all these beauties to choose from, I can't decide what style of bag I'm after. For my move to London in September I'm after both a smart bag for the many interviews to come, but also a bag that is easy to carry and lug lots around in on the tube. Any one found the perfect bag for this? Let me know!

Last Thursday while I was at home, we took a trip to the seaside. Of course, I had to wear something slightly nautical for the day so I put on the only striped tee I brought home with me and clashed/matched with some red floral culottes. I picked up both of these in the Urban Outfitters sale, but as usual of late, I only went in to pass the time until I met my friend and ended up spending my all pennies. Not being quite "hip" enough to wear the midi, white versions I've seen on beauties of Amy from The Little Magpie and Charissa Rae, these shorter, floral printed culottes are just perfect for me! Plus they are the best at hiding food babies! Looking up the links for my outfit I've just realised EVERYTHING is now on sale! So be quick if there's anything you see that you like!
After picking up my Granny, we made our first stop off in a place called Burnham Market for some lovely food at The Hoste. The village is just so pretty with lots of Georgian houses, even older cottages, and quaint shops selling vintage home ware... if only I wasn't just out of my student overdraft, I could have easily spent £40 on an old wooden box!

Later on we guessed our way along some narrow Norfolk lanes to Wells Next The Sea. I haven't been to the seaside since last year, and I forgot that the air really does smell like the sea! The harbour was picture postcard perfect, so we picked up some ice cream and a stick of rock and had a little wander around. We did attempt some outfit posts while we were there, but it was so windy we only managed one photo where my hair wasn't completely all over my face! I also had to take my hat off from fear of it blowing in to the sea! But I had such a lovely time, it's days like these that make me want to move home rather than to London in September. If only there were lots of design jobs in Norfolk!

What's your favourite seaside town? Have any of your been to the beautiful Norfolk coastline?

Following on from my previous White Trousers: Dressed Down post a few days back, this is how I would dress these white Mango trousers up, still for day time but a smarter look. You could maybe wear this for a meal out somewhere fancy (although let's be honest, I only go to Wagamama and Five Guys, so am not really sure what to wear to a "fancy" restaurant!), or even to the reception of a wedding, perhaps?
I kept the look simple like the previous trouser post, sticking to my favourite monochrome palette, but added my current favourite necklace EVER. It's similar to the sold out Shop Dixi Crusader Collar necklace but about half the price! I am loving both coin and silver necklaces at the moment, so when I saw it hanging there by itself as I walked in to the accessories area of Forever 21, I knew it was meant to be. Thankfully no one was standing nearby the necklace or they would have got a sharp elbow in their face!

As well as the trousers and necklace, I've got a lot of love for the sandals in this post! I'd seen the cross over sandals that every other blogger seems to have from New Look, and was very tempted by these but as I was making an order on ASOS a while back, these chunky heeled versions popped up in the side "We Recommend" section, and without a second thought added them to my order! There was a 20% off promotion at the time so if I had waited I would have had to pay more for them, so technically I was saving money! Yes, Laura, you tell yourself that...!

Which of the two white trouser looks did you prefer?

As usual I want everything that Topshop has to offer at the moment and as the summer comes to an end I'm hoping A/W will bring just as many beauties! For now, I have managed to trawl through the entire website and narrowed down to just a few pieces from the many that caught my eye...! I've popped the links below the mood board if there's anything you see you like!

I have a thing about trousers recently, and would definitely pick wearing them over jeans at the moment. Better at keeping cool in this heat, and I love that they can be worn as easily in the day time casually or formally as they can be dressed up for a meal or night out. So, I've made a two part blog post about this beautiful pair of white trousers I found in the Mango sale; part one as the day time dressed down look and part two as the smart, dressed up look. And don't these trousers just deserve two posts? Well, as a trouser fan I certainly think they do! Mango is my go to place for smart, casual pieces like shirts and trousers, so as soon as I realised their up to 50% off EVERYTHING sale had started I took a little break from working (shhh!) and made my way across to pick up a few pieces, including the white trousers in this post! The slim leg, turn up bottoms and just high enough waistline make these the perfect pair for me. The quality of them is very high for the price, but the usual nude coloured underwear is still a must I'm afraid! But the money you've saved with the sale price means you can take a trip over to M&S!

I paired the minimal bottoms with a monochrome (of course!) printed t-shirt from Monki for my casual look. The baggy fit of the t-shirt contrasts well with the slim tailored finish of the trousers. I continued the monochrome look with my pointed New Look slip ons and well-loved Primark satchel, both of which I have been wearing every day lately. How would you dress white trousers casually? Would you wear them day to day, or just for occasions? If you're thinking of wearing to a BBQ this summer as I am tomorrow, be wary of grubby outdoor seating and of course the spillage of delicious food! Have a tub of Vanish at the ready!

Firstly, I just have to say sorry for the not so happy face in the photo above - trust me, I was actually have lots of fun! I'm in my home town of Norwich again, visiting my mum and dad. This seems to be the only time where I get blog post photos taken and do something on my days off other than shop or sit on my laptop all day!
So today we headed out to Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens, and I have to say I had the best day! Although most other people visiting were with their children or grandchildren, my inner kid came out for the day as we walked around the gardens, watched excitedly as the tigers and monkeys got fed by the rangers and I pestered my parents for ice cream! Also, just out of shot I may or may not have an elephant stamp on my left hand... I swear I'm still 5 at heart! And maybe the best thing about today, when we got home my parents said it was the best day they had had in ages, it makes me happy that they're happy too!
We picked the best day in terms of weather too, super sunny with just a slight breeze. Perfect! Outfit was possibly not quite weather appropriate. Black and thick denim in the sunshine is never a good idea! But the tropical palm print just seemed a must for a wildlife park, yes? So I slapped on a hat and sunglasses and bared the heat. Hope you like the photos I took from the day, I thought it would be a change from the usual all outfit shots. Keep scrolling through right to the bottom to see the cutest 4 week old baby Warty Pigs!

Have you been on a fun day out around the UK this summer? Let me know where!

Seeing as I don't seem to be able to keep up with the outfit photos each week at the moment, and after being inspired by the AMAZING pieces seen on Stevie-Rose Ray's Instagram, I thought I would start a little fashion wish list with all things monochrome. Recently, I have found New Look is right on the mark with beautiful black and white pieces so for me is the obvious place to start my Monochrome Monday. I've popped all the links to each item below the mood board - let me know what you think!

Wish List: Duster Coat, Cleated Sole Sandals, Scrunchie (Left), Scrunchie (Right), T-shirt, Shorts, Shirt, Backpack
