Ahh, finally got me 'ands on one of these so called duster coats! How I have been envying much of the blogger world as they donned duster after duster. Have seriously wanted a long coat since I set eyes on the coat worn by Kevin's mum in Home Alone. I don't know if it was just the obsession with the film (blates the best Christmas film ever), or my own wish to be lost in New York, but what ever it was, I knew when I grew up I needed a long camel coat. So, okay, this isn't camel coloured or the same style, but it makes me so so happy that duster coats are in fashion. I just think they add such a cool, laid back vibe even though they are quite a grown up style of coat. My trench style version of a duster is from Primark for just £20! And I managed to get a cheeky 10% off because it had the teeniest mark on ever! £18 for a coat, to me, is quite unbelievable. Have seen so many coats similar to this in other high street shops for £50 plus so was super happy with my bargain! I even told one of my friends it was from Whistles to see if they would believe me, which they did(!), so when I revealed the true brand identity they couldn't believe it. Serious fashion points to you, Primark! Next I just need to get my hands on THIS coat, then my Home Alone fashion dreams will really come true.
Anyway, on to the rest of the outfit... I doubt that many of you know, but I work on Oxford Street. Working here does have it's highs (popping in to flagship stores when I please) and lows (spending ALL my wages in these flagship stores), but the high definitely outweighed the low the other day when I bought the remainder of this post's outfit accidentally on purpose during my lunch break. There must be about 4 Zara's down this one single road, but the one just opposite House of Fraser has to be the best (and most dangerous to my bank balance)! I went in to buy boots, came out with a jumper, trousers and bag instead. Still need to buy the boots though. I just absolutely loved the fit of these trousers with how they are smart yet sporty with pleating mixed with an elasticated waist band. And the sweater? Well, this purchase had been a long time coming to be honest; I'd been eying up various acid wash styles in Topshop over about the past year but when I saw this classic gym inspired light grey version for just shy of £20 how could I say no? Especially when the colour matched the trousers I'd just picked up perfectly!
Have you bought anything recently you've had eye on for ages? And have you given in to the duster coat trend? Let me know in the comments!
